 | | Celebrating Faithful God Global Missions Emphasis Month Week One | | | | Click the image above to view the Global Missions Month Week One Video | The month of March is traditionally known throughout the Church of God of Prophecy as "World Mission Drive." It provides one of two annual opportunities in which to invest in Mission Giving in support of our national leaders and mission nations. In Week One, we focus our hearts and minds on this month's theme, "Faithful God."
As we consider the increasing global challenges in our world, we continue to be amazed as our family responds in sacrificial obedience to the specific directives of God. We have been witness to this in the latest Ebola Crisis which began predominately in Western Africa. We have been moved to action in prayer response to the recovery efforts of our family in Asia during the onslaught of unprecedented super-typhoons and super-cyclones reducing regions within nations to rubble. Over the past few months, while the world's attention has been on Ukraine under pro-Russian military and political aggression, our COGOP family moved to action in prayer and giving. The giving response has provided more than $125,000 to help care for and resettle the displaced and persecuted believers who fled for their lives. This included two COGOP sponsored orphanages within the affected areas.
These expressions of love and care are the identification marks of our family, the fellowship of this body of believers within The Church of God of Prophecy. As we prepare to once again give to missions, we take week one to thank God for His faithfulness to each of us and our ministries globally.
