Ukraine Urgent Appeal: Local Church Serving as COGOP Refugee Camp
Learn more about the crisis in Ukraine by clicking the video image above.

As you may be aware, the nation of Ukraine has been under political and military aggression from Russian forces. This aggression has led to the bombing of many of our churches and one of our orphanages displacing hundreds of refugees who have fled to Kiev.

Our church in Kiev has been greatly challenged in providing a safe refuge and ministry to the more than 700 refugees from 38 of our churches and one of our orphanages. Just yesterday we received the information that 400 have been placed with other COGOP families, but 300 still remain to be cared forby our Kiev congregation. The estimated food costs alone are on average of $1,800 a day.

A home has been obtained for the orphanage children, however, it has no heating system nor furnishings. The estimated immediate need for the orphanage alone is $20,000, half of which is for the heating system.

This has been no small task for our Kiev Church family and our hearts have truly been melted by such loving examples and present-day Heroes of Faith. Many of our membership, including pastors, have sold their homes, vehicles, and personal valuables to invest in the care and lives of our family members who are now living within the local church.

Your intercessory prayers, love, encouragements, and financial support are needed now more than ever to help us sustain this ministry of our Ukrainian Church Family. Your investment will make a huge difference in the lives of our children and our family in Ukraine.

To assist in making this need known among your congregation, a video and newsletter are available for download at the church's website, www.cogop.org. Please feel free to share these resources with your local church family. Local churches can give through Harvest Partners and individuals can give through the Helping Hands ministry. Please designate your gift of love as Ukraine-Crisis Relief Efforts and send to: Global Missions Ministries, Church of God of Prophecy International Offices, P.O. Box 2910, Cleveland, TN 37320-2910

Thank you in advance for caring, loving, praying, and for your financial assistance. Thank you for your response to the needs of our family. As always, it our great joy to serve together.
