A New Year is coming up!!

What a blessing we enjoy each Sunday hearing Bro. Dewayne preaching the Word and lifting up the name of Jesus. In the world we live in today, we all need the Lord as never before. We need to be reminded of how much He cares for His children. In these trying and uncertain days, God's Word never fails and never changes. Praise the Lord!!! Only in Him can we find true peace and contentment. And that's a promise!!!

One precious saint who attneds whenever she is able is "Miss Rosa". How she is loved by all who know her! This dear lady has endured, with grace, many trials and illnesses, but the sweet spirit of the Lord has made her a joy to be around. I just had to take note of something she said one Wednesday Night. She shared that God has reasons why we suffer and why He allows hardships and sickness to enter our lives. But never, NEVER give up on God and trust Him to use that test so you can be used to help others. We surely do reap what we sow. Someone once said that you will never have a testimony without a test.

Be in prayer for Bro. Todd Scott and Bro. Mike Knight as they go into the prisons to hold services. These two men are mighty warriors for the Kingdom. Pray for the prisoners who hear the Word that they will have an open heart to recieve the Gospel. Bro. Mike is our Music Minister and Bro. Todd is the Adult Sunday School teacher.

Sunday October 5, 2008

WOW! What a great day we had Sunday! We had 62 in attendance. We thank God for each & everyone who was in attendance. God has been so good to us. We take so many things for granted sometimes. I think about our families, friends, church buildings, health, and the list goes on & on.

Ezra 3:1111 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.(KJV)

I liked this verse because it said "they sang together" & "they shouted a great shout". God is good all the time. All the time God is good.

Here are a few pictures from our "Birthday Celebration"

Having a great time! Sept. 14, 2008

We had a great Sunday of worship. We thank God for all His blessings!

We've got so much to be thankful for in our lives. God answers prayer. He knows our needs. He is with is everywhere we go. He absolutely AMAZES me!!

We've got a praise report. As you all know we have been having a few problems with our computer. Brother Dewayne would type up his sermons & struggle with getting it printed out. Well, let me tell you God laid it on some one's heart to give him a brand new lap-top computer. The person even brought it to our house, still in the box, and gave us the receipt in case anything went wrong. AMAZING!!!Nothing with God is impossible!!!Praise GOD!!!

Upcoming Sunday June 29

This Sunday Morning & Sunday Night at 5:00p.m. will be having guest speakers/missionary evangelist Nick & Shirley McSpadden from Russellville, Alabama

Please be in much prayer& invite a friend to our services!!

Here is an copy of some of there web site publication & background information.

"Press-On Ministries is the Evangelistic Ministry of Missionary Evangelists Nick and Shirley McSpadden. We are striving to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as Evangelists through involvement with churches and other ministries in several different ways.
First we have been actively ministering in revivals since February of 1990. Yearly revival schedules take us into many different states to churches to spread the fires of revival and renewal. During these services we have seen many saved and baptized in the power of the Holy Ghost! We have witnessed many healings and deliverances as well when the power of God starts moving in the altar time. We have found great joy in knowing churches have experienced revival during these weeks of ministry. It has been such a privilege to work with so many pastors who have been passionate for the presence of God!
The call of God to the nations has taken us into 10 countries with over 45 short term mission trips.
We have labored with some extraordinary servants of God in each of these nations. The Lord has specifically called us to continue to reach a harvest throughout the world and it has indeed been our honor to take others with us to the foreign mission field. We have seen hundreds saved in our crusades. Many have been healed through these ministry times. We have been able to support pastors and workers on the field as well as raise up a school and church in Mexico. The full magnitude of what lies ahead is yet to be revealed, but as the Lord leads us, Press-On Ministries will continue to go into all the world.
Our desire is that you find this website informative, inspirational, and intense. If Jesus was willing to die for me, the least we can do is live for Him!
His servants for your sake,
Nick and Shirley McSpadden
Just for You...

"Through His Name" poem by Tia Smith (June 19, 2008)

On a day probably much like this one a long, long time ago
This man gave His life and He did it for my soul
He had to face the Devil but He did in the Lord's name
and we hung him from a cross and history was made

He was just a man made of flesh and a beating heart
but here was more to Him that counted Him apart
He trusted His Father and obeyed Him till the end
The devil tried to tempt Him but he was too strong to give in

Because of what He went through
the suffering and slaying
I can live and worship and I do it through His name
He is my Lord, my Savior
Thanks to Him we can be saved
at no cost to us at all
But oh what a price He paid

If that's not enough to change us
That would mean He died in vain
I owe all I am to Him
and I do it through His name

Sunday June 22, 2008

We thank the Lord for His many blessings. We had 34 in attendance this morning. Praise the Lord ! The excitement is in the air of God's presence. Several things have been going on behind the scenes, that are beginning to break through. Here are a few things that have been happening:

This past week Brother Smith & Our family decided to stay at the Church on Saturday night , so that we could practice Saturday night &not have to drive back & forth from Haleyville. It is like God has prepared this building/grounds just for us over these years, for such a time as this.
You see this particular church grounds has a large field of grass, beautiful trees, a stream of water, as well as, a concrete platform & hook up for camper. The downstairs has a full basement & fellowship hall.

Can you believe this church had the for thought to install a shower & bathroom downstairs as well? It is just so amazing that it was all put together so perfectly. God has also blessed us through My husband's brother, Randy, who has allowed us to use his camper, which is such a blessing to our family.

Just like what the bible says--all things are possible with God!

Here is another miracle. We have a little red-haired boy, 5 years old, who wants to be a preacher! Every week he has a new scripture he can quote from the Bible (he is up to about 10 he can quote now). We are so thankful for little Brother Tyler Smith (no relation to us)

Sister Tia Smith(no relation to us ) has been given poems & songs from the Lord . She has a bout 6 now. They are all so beautiful & have to be a gift from God. I will post one of these poems next.

The Beasley family are dedicated supporters of Sacred Harp music . We will have Sacred Harp singing at our building the 4th Sunday in August & in December every year. People travel from all over the United States to visit during this time. Here is a link to one of the web-sites about Sacred Harp music http://www.joebeasleymemorialfoundation.org/

Sunday June 1 2008

We thank God for His mercy & His grace. He has been so good to us! I think abut all the blessings he has given. We have our health, children, home & church family. It's like everything the devil has taken away God has given back to us with more!.

Our church is growing spiritually, even though many are new converts. Not that some haven't had their trials here lately. To see a new Christian go through things (life stresses) & then they begin to pray & seek God instead of doing the old habits ( coping mechanisms) , is a wonderful thing to see.
God has everything worked out for our lives & our bodies. He knew we needed a Comforter in this world & He sent the Holy Spirit to help us.

Proverbs 16: 3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. KJV

We want everything we do to give God glory & all the choices we make , be unto the Lord.

Proverb 16:1 (TLB) We can make our plans, but the final outcome is in God 's hands.

Please continue to pray for us. I have a special unspoken request I need the Church to help pray about.
