We have some good news about two children who were prayed for a week ago. They are now both doing very well, and the baby boy got a report from the doctor saying he couldn't find anything wrong with his heart. They believed the baby had heart trouble, but the Lord fixed that. Amen! Also, Neal Sandlin had more surgery on his neck and had some nerve pressure. He had a really rough go for a while, but said he is very, very much better now with alot less pain. Praise the Lord!!
Our church is such a wonderful place to share joy and sorrow with brothers and sisters of the Body of Christ. It makes you feel like you have arrived at the ER filled with caring doctors and nurses who only want to support and care for you when you are too sick or weak to help yourself. Recently Joyce Meyer said, "we must remember that the ONLY real and permanent help we have in this life is God." Jesus made us a promise to never leave us or forsake us, and He will not and He cannot lie. Hang onto that in these trying days. It seems everyday we hear of someone dear who is ill or facing a challenge they cannot go through alone. Praise the Lord, we have a place to go for help. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run into it, and is safe." Proverbs 18:10
A dear member of our church, Travis Ray Carter, is facing a life-threatening illness and was told that without surgery, there is nothing the doctors can do. He has chosen to stand with the Lord and trust in the Great Physician. Let's lift him and the family up in prayer. He is my step-father and I can tell you he has treated me and my whole family like his own. He has loved and helped many people over the years all over the country, from customers to old Army buddies to the many churches he insured over the years.
Another need for prayer is Linda Frank's husband who has to go to B'ham Tuesday morning for tests. Also, Mildred Ray's grandson is still in the hospital and needs to be remembered. Jerrie's husband, Drake, is home from the hospital but having a very tough time recovering. Pray for this whole precious family. There are many more needs I don't know about, but our Father does.
Many times, we fail to see what is right in front of our eyes; suffering and lonely folks who could do with a phone call, card or a visit to cheer them up and let them know somebody cares. If you have ever been in a 'valley' and needed help, think what any little expression of love meant to you. Jesus calls us to deny self and follow Him. I would also like to ask you to remember me. I have been in a very low place in my spirit for the last several weeks and I really need your prayers and love those who have already been there for me. What a difference it makes to know you have a true friend, I said a TRUE FRIEND who will interceed for you. Thank you to Beverly Foster for being a really good one, I love you. Also, Deb, Jan, Margie, Janice, Carol, Beth, Sondra, Joan, great ladies!
God Bless you all!
