"Press-On Ministries is the Evangelistic Ministry of Missionary Evangelists Nick and Shirley McSpadden. We are striving to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as Evangelists through involvement with churches and other ministries in several different ways.
First we have been actively ministering in revivals since February of 1990. Yearly revival schedules take us into many different states to churches to spread the fires of revival and renewal. During these services we have seen many saved and baptized in the power of the Holy Ghost! We have witnessed many healings and deliverances as well when the power of God starts moving in the altar time. We have found great joy in knowing churches have experienced revival during these weeks of ministry. It has been such a privilege to work with so many pastors who have been passionate for the presence of God!
The call of God to the nations has taken us into 10 countries with over 45 short term mission trips.
We have labored with some extraordinary servants of God in each of these nations. The Lord has specifically called us to continue to reach a harvest throughout the world and it has indeed been our honor to take others with us to the foreign mission field. We have seen hundreds saved in our crusades. Many have been healed through these ministry times. We have been able to support pastors and workers on the field as well as raise up a school and church in Mexico. The full magnitude of what lies ahead is yet to be revealed, but as the Lord leads us, Press-On Ministries will continue to go into all the world.
Our desire is that you find this website informative, inspirational, and intense. If Jesus was willing to die for me, the least we can do is live for Him!
His servants for your sake,
Nick and Shirley McSpadden
Just for You...

"Through His Name" poem by Tia Smith (June 19, 2008)

On a day probably much like this one a long, long time ago
This man gave His life and He did it for my soul
He had to face the Devil but He did in the Lord's name
and we hung him from a cross and history was made

He was just a man made of flesh and a beating heart
but here was more to Him that counted Him apart
He trusted His Father and obeyed Him till the end
The devil tried to tempt Him but he was too strong to give in

Because of what He went through
the suffering and slaying
I can live and worship and I do it through His name
He is my Lord, my Savior
Thanks to Him we can be saved
at no cost to us at all
But oh what a price He paid

If that's not enough to change us
That would mean He died in vain
I owe all I am to Him
and I do it through His name

We thank the Lord for His many blessings. We had 34 in attendance this morning. Praise the Lord ! The excitement is in the air of God's presence. Several things have been going on behind the scenes, that are beginning to break through. Here are a few things that have been happening:

This past week Brother Smith & Our family decided to stay at the Church on Saturday night , so that we could practice Saturday night &not have to drive back & forth from Haleyville. It is like God has prepared this building/grounds just for us over these years, for such a time as this.
You see this particular church grounds has a large field of grass, beautiful trees, a stream of water, as well as, a concrete platform & hook up for camper. The downstairs has a full basement & fellowship hall.

Can you believe this church had the for thought to install a shower & bathroom downstairs as well? It is just so amazing that it was all put together so perfectly. God has also blessed us through My husband's brother, Randy, who has allowed us to use his camper, which is such a blessing to our family.

Just like what the bible says--all things are possible with God!

Here is another miracle. We have a little red-haired boy, 5 years old, who wants to be a preacher! Every week he has a new scripture he can quote from the Bible (he is up to about 10 he can quote now). We are so thankful for little Brother Tyler Smith (no relation to us)

Sister Tia Smith(no relation to us ) has been given poems & songs from the Lord . She has a bout 6 now. They are all so beautiful & have to be a gift from God. I will post one of these poems next.

We were very happy to see Mr. John Beasley, who rents us the church building for the Beasley family (formerly Concord Primitive Baptist Church building). He has been very hospitable to our church family.

The Beasley family are dedicated supporters of Sacred Harp music . We will have Sacred Harp singing at our building the 4th Sunday in August & in December every year. People travel from all over the United States to visit during this time. Here is a link to one of the web-sites about Sacred Harp music http://www.joebeasleymemorialfoundation.org/

Sunday June 1 2008

We thank God for His mercy & His grace. He has been so good to us! I think abut all the blessings he has given. We have our health, children, home & church family. It's like everything the devil has taken away God has given back to us with more!.

Our church is growing spiritually, even though many are new converts. Not that some haven't had their trials here lately. To see a new Christian go through things (life stresses) & then they begin to pray & seek God instead of doing the old habits ( coping mechanisms) , is a wonderful thing to see.
God has everything worked out for our lives & our bodies. He knew we needed a Comforter in this world & He sent the Holy Spirit to help us.

Proverbs 16: 3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. KJV

We want everything we do to give God glory & all the choices we make , be unto the Lord.

Proverb 16:1 (TLB) We can make our plans, but the final outcome is in God 's hands.

Please continue to pray for us. I have a special unspoken request I need the Church to help pray about.
