What an awesome time we had Saturday at the Back to School Bash! Sister Libbie did an outstanding job with directing the puppet show and teaching the children about faith, obeying God, and being a Christian. Our youth did a great job with the puppets. After the puppet show, we had a healthy snack of watermelon (my favorite), strawberries, grapes, pineapple, and snow cones, as well as great fellowship with all of our visitors. Thanks to all the ladies who prepared the snacks. Brother Wesley had fun games outside for the youth and he and Brother Heath put together a water slide that everyone enjoyed! We were able to bless 31 children and their family by giving away backpacks filled with school supplies for the upcoming school year and by sharing the Word of God with them. Praise the Lord!! Only a few days of summer left and these children (and teachers) will be going back to school. Please continue praying for our youth that God will protect them, give them strength to continue to live for Him and be a light to others as they head back to school in the coming days.
