Deadline for Assembly Business Report Responses Extended | Due to delays within the US Postal Service that were beyond our control, there was an undesirable delay in local churches receiving information concerning their Pre-Assembly Expressions. Knowing each church needs to put proper prayer and study into their Expression, the deadlines are adjusted as follows: : May 15, 2014 Deadline for Pastors to send Pre-Assembly Expressions to state/regional/national Offices May 22, 2014 Deadline for State/Regional/National Offices to send Pre-Assembly Expressions to general presbyter's office May 30, 2014 Deadline for general presbyters to send Pre-Assembly Expressions to General Overseer's Office (Peggy Clements). Hopefully by now, all of the pastors have either received their packet containing the reports and forms, or they have been able to download them from the website. If you have not received the information, or have questions regarding distribution and/or deadlines, you may contact Peggy Clements, Business Clerk, @ pclements@cogop.org or (423) 559-5258. You can also download the reports in English, Spanish, and French here. Questions regarding the informational reports to be voted on may be directed to the committee chairmen as follows: The Pursuit of the Holy God, Answering the Call of the Holy Spirit, The Value and Spiritual Life of Children Biblical Doctrine and Polity Committee Finance & Stewardship Report to the 98th International Assembly Finance & Stewardship Committee | White Wing Messenger Online | The digital version of the White Wing Messenger has just entered a new level with the introduction of the exclusive White Wing Messenger mobile app, now available for all mobile devices. "Last Sunday Dan took in 8 new members into our church in Carapegua. It was a very exciting day for all of us. We have some super excited new people. One of the couples came out to show us pictures of the front of the church. They had taken down the curtains that ran along the whole front of the church and changed it out for beautiful curtains a very neutral color. They mentioned that they wanted to paint, too. We felt we walked into a new church that night. There is a new excitement in the church, not only for the appearance of our building but of doing some evangelistic campaigns. We have a fantastic group of people in our local church and we thank the Lord for them." "Starting January we have had some house meetings at Kerava. Fellowship has been good because of Sirpa and Steven being hosts. The main thing has been that we have encountered God together both in Word and Eucharist." Belarus "Two sisters from our church in Siberia who have been ministering in nursing homes for the disabled in Russia for more than two years now came to visit us. They have been having great success and brought much needed experience at just the right time! Our guests arrived on Monday night, and already Tuesday morning we ministered together at the home. It was an awesome time! Our hearts' desire was to share the love of Jesus with them! We believe that God's love changes everything! God's love delivers us from loneliness, heals wounds of the soul, and leads a person to eternal life. We were able to meet and talk with everyone, sing together, play games, and have a wonderful time together." | Tomlinson College Reunion Aug. 2 | Mark your calendars for a Tomlinson College Reunion, being held Saturday, Aug. 2 at 12:30 during the 98th International Assembly.
