Men's Conference

10/01/2014

Greetings Unshakable Men!

We are just a little over three weeks away from this year's Men's Conference (October 24-25), and I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to be a part of this powerful weekend of ministry designed just for you.

Some of the highlights of this year's conference will be a special pre-conference bowling tournament at Brunswick Riverview Lanes located at 2908 Riverview Road in Birmingham, AL (off Highway 280) on Friday (times TBA).  You can register a team or as an individual.  Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winning team(s) and individual(s).  Information on how to register will be sent out next week.

Registration for the conference will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, with dinner being served at 5:30 p.m.  The main worship service will crank up around 7:00 p.m. with our guest worship leader, Nic Jackson and team.  We are also excited to announce our special guest speaker, Bishop Michael Willingham from Kentucky will be ministering on Friday evening and on Saturday morning.  You will be blessed by his ministry!

I'm also very pumped about our Huddle times on Saturday morning and afternoon.  These Huddles will be stirring challenges for men to rise up and become model men for Christ to their families, churches, and workplace.  These Huddle times are designed to take you from mediocre to mighty!  All this will be packed into 24 hours of glory!

But here’s the fine print…we need you to register for Men's Conference 2014 as soon as possible.  How much is registration and how do I register?  Registration is only $45 (excludes bowling tournament), and you can download an application at www.campboothe.org, and click on "APPLICATIONS".  Mail your application to: Men's Conference at Camp Boothe, P.O. Box 240, Greenpond, AL 35074.  This covers your materials, meals, and accommodations.  Also, don't forget to bring bedding for twin beds, pillows, blankets, towels, etc.

So make plans to join us on October 24-25 at Camp Boothe in Greenpond, AL for the Unshakable Men's Conference!  You won't be disappointed!  I look forward to seeing you and your men there!

Unshakable…

Camp

Chicken and Grapes at Discovery Camp
Sara and I went to Camp Boothe for Discovery Camp last week. There were about 200 children there! Breanna, Brady, and Zoe went to Senior Camp the week before, and the week before that, Emily went to Collegiate Camp. Caroline is there this week for Pee Wee Camp. How blessed we are to have Camp Boothe and children that love to seek God.

Here are links to facebook pages where you can see pictures of what's been going on at camp:

Women's Conference Camp Boothe September 20, 2013

What an awesome time Sister Joan and Sister Amanda had at Ladies Retreat! If you haven't been to camp, you are missing out! It is a one night camp especially for ladies age 16 and up. We arrived at 3:30, unpacked, rested for a bit, then went to eat a delicious dinner in the cafeteria at 5:30. The cafeteria was decorated so nice:

Church service was at 7:00. This year's theme was "Safely Home." Worship was led by Sister Stephanie Christmas and the worship team from Cliff Haven Church. Sister Pat Green from Short Creek brought us the message from Mark 11:1-8 and the Holy Spirit showed up in a mighty way! Following the service, we had fun time and snack in the cafeteria were the Christmas sisters blessed us with their humor. Door prizes were also awarded. Then it was back to the cabin for some rest.

The following morning at 7:30, we met in the cafeteria for a full breakfast (yummy!) then broke into our TAP (Talk and Prayer) groups for almost an hour. We headed back to the chapel for worship led by Sister Stephanie Christmas and the worship team from Cliff Haven Church. Sister Donna Howard brought us the word from Luke 1:5-50. Sister Donna shared this song with us that blessed us. Here is a video of the song from YouTube:

After service, we headed back to the cafeteria for lunch before departing for home.

LADIES: Make plans to attend Ladies Retreat next year. Sister Joan and I were so blessed and had such an awesome time worshiping with other women from across the state. We hope to have enough women from our church next year at we can take the church van!

PeeWee Camp June 23-26, 2013

Sara Seals and Caroline Smith attended Pee Wee camp this summer. Sister Amanda also attended as a helper in the kitchen. What an awesome time we had! The theme was "Put on the full armor of God". Here are some pictures from Pee Wee camp:
